Located West of Mission Trails Regional Park and East of Interstate 15 is San Diego's Tierrasanta.  Tierrasanta was originally part of the Mission San Diego de Acala Ranch and later became US Marine Corps Camp Elliott.  Tierrasanta would eventually become one of the first master planned communities in the city of San Diego with development beginning in the 1970s and continuing through the 1990s.
